Wacky But True: 
Surveillance video shows a cane-wielding grandmother witness an armed robbery in Michigan and then tackle the suspect as he tried to make a run for it with the money.
It's a story that had people talking when it happened in November 2009.

The video was only made public recently.
The video starts with the typical ins and outs at the Walgreens store in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but it takes a surprising turn with the presence of two people: A guy who enters to rob the place and unsuspecting grandmother Sarah Smith, who uses a cane and is a regular at the store.

The Samaritan Shelter: We had special guests on this morning from the Samaritan Shelter in Pocomoke to talk about their upcoming fundraiser. It's a great night of Christian music called Be The Samaritan 2013. Viewed around the globe, a girl is now known as the one who burned her hair off, after posting her curling iron mishap on YouTube.
Tori Locklear was trying to demonstrate how well the Wand curling iron works in her demonstration video.
But, the demo didn't quite go as Locklear had planned.
Around the 1:05 mark is where it all begins. Locklear says to hold the iron on your hair for 20 seconds or more.
And then, off with her hair.
The next 40 seconds that follow needs no explanation.
The YouTube video of the October 2012 incident has gone viral, being viewed by more than 2 million people.





Some parents love to get their kids started in sports early, but an Oregon family is taking it to the extreme.
Eden Grace is only 23 months old and she's already barreling down the bunny slope on a snowboard.
She's been doing runs with her folks since she was just 6 weeks old.
Her mom says Eden loves it.
"We wake up at 5:30 and get her out of bed and as soon as we mention snow she's all excited and knows we're going to the mountains," her mom said.
Eden's got her own gear and loves to wear it around the house.

Eight stories up Thursday, kids from St. Joseph's Children's Hospital got to marvel at their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
In his red-and-blue suit, the superhero rappelled down from the hospital's roof to a ledge right outside a big playroom window.
One kid grabbed a marker and made a sign saying "GO SPIDERMAN!"
One of the hospital workers arranged to have a man with a window washing business show off his secret super power -- the power to help these kids smile.
Spider-Man wouldn't
reveal his true identity to us.

It’s patent #771,247.....James Bennett back in 1904 got a patent for his bizarre new catching apparatus.
It was basically a wire cage around the catchers face and chest with mattress padding on the chest. The ball was supposed to hit the padding, then drop through an opening in the bottom of the catchers cage.....the catcher would grab it and throw it back to the pitcher.

With her escape-artist antics now caught on video, a horse in Michigan is being dubbed the "Houdini Horse" thanks to her knack for opening stall doors.
The 9-year-old horse named Mariska somehow learned to open latches at Misty Meadow Farms near Midland in central Michigan.
The farm's co-owner, Sandy Bonem, posted a video online of the horse opening numerous locks.
It catches how Mariska lets herself out, then unlocking stalls for other horses.
As of Monday, the YouTube video had more than 760,000 views.

A Canadian college offered to pay a student's tuition if they or a person of their choosing made a half-court shot. Brandon University student Mason Kaluzniak chose wisely -- head basketball coach Gil Cheung easily sunk the shot.

There’s a teacher in Indianapolis who writes a birthday letter to each and every student he’s ever had. In Dallas, chocolatier Andrea Pedraza, who loves designer high heels, molded her pedestrian passion into chocolate form.
Her most well-known creations are chocolate pumps.
Prices for the high heels range from $30 to $55, but more if you fill the heel with more chocolates.
Pedraza says men buy the chocolate pumps the most, so she keeps extras on hand for last-minute shoppers.

To Laura King, her three children were acting normal while enjoying dinner at an Italian restaurant in their hometown in Washington state.
But staffers of the restaurant were so impressed with her children's table manners during their Feb. 1 dinner that they thanked her kids and gave the family of five a bowl of ice cream.
It wasn't until King got home that that she noticed a $4 "well behaved kids" discount on her receipt to cover the dessert. "The server said staff didn't even know there were kids at the table," said King, whose children are 2, 3, and 8 years old.
King said it's been entertaining to see all the attention her story has gotten.

Johanna Quass, 86, can still do the sort of gymnastics that 98 percent of the population can't even picture in their minds. While participating in the 2012 Cottbus World Cup this past weekend, she performed routines on the floor and parallel bars. She's been doing gymnastics for 60 years.
