I really needed another option, "both" on the light survey. We like one strand of mini white lights up the center of the tree to light it up. Then we use strands of multi-color mini LED lights on the branches. Eighteen years ago it started out as a white light tree. Then as we had children, and my husband fondly remembered the trees of his childhood, we mixed in some colored lights. Eventually, we discovered the one string of white lit up the tree enough and the colored added the festivity the family enjoyed. - Tina T.
