Not Yo' Mama's Banana Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
  • 6 to 8 bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 (5-ounce) box instant French vanilla pudding
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping thawed, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream

Directions

Line the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top.
In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Verse of the Day: (2 Timothy 1:7&8) For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline. So you must never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord.

 Wacky But True...
A Houston home decorated with thousands of flattened aluminum cans won’t have to take them down, thanks to an art endowment.  John Milkovisch attached the cans to his house over a 20-year period as an alternative to more traditional home repair.
The home was becoming a nationally celebrated folk-art site when the man died in 1988 at age 75.
Since then, it has suffered years of decline.  Now, a $125,000 grant from the Houston Endowment to the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art will help restore the home.

Amazing Fact: Mr. Peanut was created in 1916 by a 14-year-old Suffolk, VA, boy. He won $5 in a design contest sponsored by the Planters Peanuts.

Scriptural Pursuit: Who described Jesus as the “Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world"? John the Baptist (John 1:29)
