Verse of the Day: But the wisdom that comes from Heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness. (James 3: 17 & 18)

Amazing Fact: Americans consume about 535 million pounds of turkey on any given Thanksgiving Day. Also, Ben Franklin wanted to make the wild turkey the national bird instead of the Bald Eagle.

Scriptural Pursuit: One of Joseph's brothers said, "Let us not kill him." Who was that?
Answer: Reuben (Genesis 37: 21-23)

Wacky But True: Greg Thomas of Bangor, Maine was diagnosed with cancer three years ago and told he was going to die. He passed his time by taking long walks in the country. Those walks led him to an old country church. After shedding many tears and sending up prayers while sitting on the steps outside the church, Greg decided to save the crumbling church. Now the church has a new lease on life and Greg's cancer is in remission. See the full story.
