Here's a picture of the "frosted" apple pie that Joelle brought in to share this morning! What a good co-host!!!!
She's even sharing the recipe:
Frosted Apple Pie:
3/4 to 1 C. Sugar
2 Tblsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp.salt
6-7 c. sliced pared apples
Pastry for 2 crust 9-inch pie
2 Tblsp. butter
Combine sugar, flour cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in bowl. Add apples, mix lightly. Put in pie shell. Dot with butter. Adjust top crust and flute edges; cut vents. Bake at 425 for 50-60 minutes or until crust is browned and and tender.
FROSTING:
1/2 c powdered sugar
1 Tblsp. milk
Mix in small bowl. After you take the pie out of the oven, put frosting on top while still warm. Cool on rack.

Apple pie looks yummy.
Joelle is a great baker. Maybe she could share more recipes (oatmeal camelitas, chocolate (Zucchini) cupcakes with mocha icing......
Enjoy her addition to the show. Kids love personally knowing someone on air.
