Verse of the Day: His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty.

Amazing Fact: In the Lincoln Memorial, on the statue of Abraham Lincoln sitting, each hand forms a letter in the sign language alphabet. They form his initials, A and L.

Scriptural Pursuit: What famous visitor from Arabia was impressed with Solomon's wisdom and brought gifts to him?
Answer: The queen of Sheba (I Kings 10:1, 6, 10)

Wacky But True: Tinker, a miniature pony, has become a big helper in the Salvation Army kettle campaign. He uses his mouth to ring the bell. In a normal hour most folks raise $250 but during Tinker's hour, it's not uncommon for him to bring in $2,500. The 13-year old horse has been ringing the bell for four seasons now.
